Aztec clay face mask hack
The Aztec face mask is a widely loved natural and effective face mask. It detoxifies and tightens the skin with just one ingredient - calcium bentonite clay! This product is incredibly effective as a face mask, hence it’s popularity - it has an average rating on Amazon of 4.4 stars out of 5 from over 16,000 reviews. But there is one downside to this natural wonder - it’s messy. It comes in a large tub, and each time you make a batch the powder can go everywhere. For years I have loved the Aztec face mask but hated the mess, and thought there has to be a better way.
The solution? Reusable silicone squeezable containers. This hack is so simple. makes it easier and cleaner to use, and also, the containers are TSA approved so are travel friendly!
Before you start you need to twist off the plastic lid so that you can use the wider opening
Carefully spoon a small amount of clay - don’t overfill the spoon because this makes it harder to cleanly get it into the container.
In small amounts, transfer the clay into the container. Make sure you do this over the tub, so that any excess doesn’t make a mess.
Keep adding until the container is about a third full with the clay.
After adding the clay, you can add the water (or apple cider vinegar if preferred). I found that putting the clay in first resulted in a smoother final mixture.
Screw the lid on, and shake!
You might want to tweak your ratios to create your preferred consistency.
Enjoy your no mess face mask!
